From Technical Skill Development to International Training: Two Laxmi Hyundai Technicians Depart for South Korea

Friday, September 11, 2026

11th September 2026, Kathmandu

Bridging skill development with international training, two technicians who secured employment after completing their apprenticeship at Laxmi Hyundai departed for South Korea today. They will participate in advanced training on vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and new automobile technologies under the Hyundai Talent Academy at the Hyundai Global Learning Center.

Their journey—spanning technical education, apprenticeship, and employment—was completed in just four months. During this period, they applied classroom knowledge to the real-world workplace, gaining hands-on experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and maintenance. Following their apprenticeship, they were offered employment directly at Laxmi Hyundai.

Key Highlights of Laxmi Hyundai’s Initiative

Empowering Students: Laxmi Hyundai provides internship and apprenticeship opportunities to over 50 students annually from polytechnic institutions under CTEVT.

Professional Growth: This initiative helps students develop workplace discipline, problem-solving abilities, and professional skills alongside technical knowledge.

World-Class Training: The international training through the Hyundai Talent Academy is expected to further refine the skills of Nepali technicians and allow them to apply their acquired knowledge and experience within Nepal.

The company believes that the core objective of this initiative is not just about "learning skills to go abroad," but rather building an environment where individuals can "acquire world-class skills and build their careers right here in Nepal."
